Where Northwest Louisiana Scouting Lives

Dear Local Councils:

We are pleased to announce that Judge Silverstein has entered an order confirming the BSA’s plan of reorganization!

This is a historic day for the Scouting movement.  And we would not be here without all of your dedication over the past two and a half years.  Thank you!

Now the race to implement the plan begins:

We will keep you updated on our collective progress as all 250 Local Councils begin to fund.  The eight members of the Ad Hoc Committee are committed to funding within two weeks of the escrow account opening, and we would ask that all Local Councils do the same.  The Ad Hoc Committee expects to file a brief in support of affirmation in the District Court and we would like to be able to inform the court in that brief that funding is complete.

Please feel free to share this good news with your volunteers, donors, parents, and communities.

Again, thank you for all that you are doing to support the Scouting movement!
