Wood Badge 2010
What is Wood Badge? Wood Badge is the premier adult leadership training program for the Boy Scouts of America. It teaches contemporary leadership and team development skills in an outdoor setting.
Wood Badge for the 21st Century is open to all registered adult leaders who have completed the basic training requirement for their primary position. The basic training requirement generally consists of Fast Start, New Leader Essentials or This is Scouting and Position Specific Training. Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters must complete Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills in addition to the above requirements. Outdoor training is not required of other leaders but it is highly recommended. Additional training details can be obtained from your District Training Team.
The course fee for the 2010 Wood Badge courses is $200. This fee covers all instructional materials and all food for the first and second weekends. Each participant will receive a course cap and neckerchief. The fee also includes the Wood Badge training award that is presented following completion of the Wood Badge ticket. A deposit will be due with the registration form and the balance is due 30 days prior to the start of the course.
