Support Scouting

There are a variety of methods in which gifts can be made to Scouting.

Friends of Scouting - a True investment in Scouting.

As a steward to Scouting, we all have an obligation to supporting all needs of the Norwela Council, BSA. One of those needs is financial. The Friends of Scouting Campaign is our annual financial Stewardship effort to raise the funds necessary to support the Scouts in our Council.

One of the ways you can help with stewardship is supporting the Family Friends of Scouting (FOS) Campaign. Beginning in the first of the year, your Pack, Troop, or Crew will be asked to participate in a Family FOS Campaign. A representative of your district will come to one of your meetings to talk with parents about the Family FOS Campaign. The best time is when you have a majority of your parents in attendance, like a Court of Honor, or Blue and Gold Banquet.

All Packs, Troops, and Crews in the Council have an obligation of support the efforts of the Norwela Council, and Family FOS is one of those obligations. Each parent should have the opportunity to learn about our operations, and why they should consider making a contribution to support Scouting.

Each year beginning in January The Norwela Council begins it's Friends of Scouting campaign. Friends of Scouting are individuals who include Scouting in their charitable giving on a annual basis. Friends of Scouting is the major source of income for The Norwela Council. The levels of giving are:

  • Benefactor - $2,500.00 and up
  • Guardian Member - $1,000 to $2,499
  • Patron - $500 to $999
  • Leadership Member - $250 to $499
  • Century Member - $100 to $249
  • Supporter - Any Gift
